Sport pundit Ally McCoist believes that Arsenal contract rebel Aaron Ramsey can play in any side in England and Europe if he leaves Arsenal at the end of the season, according to talkSPORT.
The Scottish football legend was shocked at the fact that Arsenal could be losing such a valuable player after reports came out that he could be leaving on a free at the end of the season.
The 27-year-old Wales international is in the final year of his contract at the club and has repeatedly turned down offers to renew as he reportedly believes he is worth more than the salary package on offer.
After the latest round of discussions broke down, he is now likely to leave the Emirates on a free next summer unless he is sold in January.
A number of sides including Chelsea, Manchester United, Juventus and Liverpool have been credited with interest in the midfielder in recent times, and McCoist believes he is good enough to play in any of Europes’s top leagues.
He still cannot understand why Arsenal could make such a mistake “Not just the football side of it, it’s the business side of it – if they’ve allowed Ramsey’s contract to expire in the summer that’s absolutely incredible.” He said.
“In fact, it’s that incredible, I can’t believe it’s true.
“A host of clubs who would want to take Aaron Ramsey.
“He could play anywhere; he would certainly be suited to playing somewhere else in Europe – he could play in Spain or in Italy.
“It’s another little headache Arsenal have got if that’s the case.”
