Liverpool are reportedly planning a deal to sign Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele when the January transfer window opens, according to report.

According to the report, the French striker’s lack of game time has aroused the interest of Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp already said last year: “Is he in the market? Now I’m interested.” The English club would be delighted to have the services of Dembélé in the next transfer window.

Dembele, 21, has struggled to impress at the Nou Camp following his move from Borussia Dortmund in 2017.

Injuries have hampered the winger’s development at Barca after the Spanish giants paid around £100m for Dembele.

Barca are now prepared to cut their losses and allow Dembele to move on, with Klopp ready to launch another approach for a player he first attempted to sign last summer.

Liverpool were interested in signing the forward when he initially left Borussia Dortmund, but they found themselves outbid as Barcelona came in for him.

Klopp is a big admirer of the forward and is said to be keen on bringing him to Anfield.
