Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira has been interviewed by Argentine Youtuber Ezzequiel this week, in an episode they’ve called a ‘Quarantine Special’.
This channel has a game in which footballers answer as many questions as they can in a period of 90 seconds, so they basically only respond with a short answer.
Torreira named Kevin De Bruyne the best player in the Premier League, and said Manchester United’s Old Trafford is the most beautiful stadium he’s played in.
Whilst the De Bruyne appreciation will go unquestioned, some Arsenal fans may not be too happy with Torreira’s love of Old Trafford.
Torreira has also been quizzed about his favourite club and his idol, and he had no doubts when replying ‘Boca Juniors’ and ‘Carlos Tevez’.
As you can imagine, these quotes are doing the rounds in the Argentine media now, although they’re twisted a little. Websites like Bola Vip pretend there was a full sentence about it, as if Torreira said: “I look at Boca in Argentine football, I see myself playing there in the future. My favourite player is Tevez. I dream of playing in La Bombonera.”
He was also asked to list an all time team. He said it’d be managed by Oscar Tabarez, and the lineup would be: Buffon; Dani Alves, Sergio Ramos, Diego Godin, Roberto Lago; Andrea Pirlo, Andres Iniesta, Gennaro Gattuso; Lionel Messi, Edinson Cavani and Ronaldinho.
