Manchester United star goalkeeper David de Gea has instruct his agent Jorge Mendes to start working on a deal to take him to Real Madrid in the summer according to the Express.

Real Madrid have been linked to De Gea for a number of years, with the Spanish side famously agreeing a transfer deadline day deal for the goa keeper some years ago only to see the move collapse due to late registration.

However, they looked to have lost interest in the 25-year-old when it was reported that they were closing in on signing Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, but reports from Spain suggest that Zinedine Zidane has put a stop to that deal, which has reignited the interest in the Manchester United man.

The Express earlier reported that Ronaldo has been informed of Real Madrid’s interest in De Gea and that the club is plotting a summer move for the goalkeeper.

Don Balon believe that De Gea has contacted his agent Jorge Mendes and instructed him to open talks with the Spanish capital club.
