Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United are set to battle for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.
Lewandowski seem unsettled at Bayern after falling out with the club’s hierarchy.
Since the end of last season, Lewandowski has publicly blasted the club on several occasions. First, he blasted his teammates for not doing enough to help him finish as the league’s highest goal scorer and then further strained his relationship with the club last week when he questioned their ambition and transfer policy.
This could now lead Bayern to consider selling the striker at the end of the season. Considering he is already 29, the German giants are aware that Lewandowski’s best years are behind him and could happily sanction his exit.
According to a report in the Mirror, City, Chelsea and United could all battle to sign the striker once he becomes available.
City are said to be his likeliest destination due to his past relationship with Guardiola.
Chelsea were linked with Lewandowski in the summer before we signed Morata.
It is likely that Bayern will demand a huge fee for Lewandowski and Chelsea wouldn’t want to spend big on a striker again after shelling out £70m on Morata in July.
Lewandowski has been regarded as one of Europe’s best strikers since his time at BVB and won’t be short of offers if Bayern decides to sell. I am not sure Chelsea will be one of those clubs.
