Manchester United board are ready to spend big in signing “two” key star-fans will love them

Footballbible on Facebook and Twitter get up to date football-related news from the English Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and other leagues around the World. News From Chelsea, Everton, Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool.

Manchester United would push for a move for Antoine Griezmann and Gareth Bale if Ed Woodward oversees the club’s recruitment this summer, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Woodward has tried to sign Bale and Griezmann in the past, from Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid respectively.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks likely to be given the job on a permanent basis – but links to Mauricio Pochettino also still remain. Woodward is, though, hoping to appoint a director of football.

The Norwegian has started life as manager at Old Trafford emphatically, beating the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Paris St-Germain along the way.

But the MEN say that the United mastermind will likely chase Griezmann and Bale transfers this summer if a director of football appointment does not happen.

The Red Devils are keen on hiring a director of football by the time the transfer window arrives.

Paul Mitchell, Eric Cantona and Edwin Van Der Sar have been reportedly linked to the vacancy but as of yet there has been no concrete talks.

And the Manchester Evening News have reported that Woodward is ready to take on the duties of the role if someone is not found.

  1. I prefer MANCHESTER UNITEDto try as much possible to sign coutinho from Barcelona and signing of bale and griezman UNITED must consider their age

  2. Griezman should be relentlessly pursued. As for the Welshman he should be allowed to go into retirement. It would be a win win business for club and player to bring the Atletico Madrid man. Cortinho is too expensive to add to the shopping basket.
