Lazio director Igli Tare said the Serie A club have not received any offers for star midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, though they would consider a transfer if a bid was lodged.
The report further claims Lazio will demand £131m for the Serbian international which United are reluctant to pay.
Jose Mourinho is reportedly ready to make big changes to the United squad this summer.
And France midfielder Pogba has already tested the Portuguese manager’s patience a number of times this campaign.
Materazzi, the brother of Italian World Cup winner Marco, reckons United have already sorted out a deal for the 23-year-old.
But a deal for Pogba must be sorted out before the Serbian can be confirmed as a new signing.
“In my opinion, he has already been sold for a few months to a team, Manchester United, which is waiting to sell a big [name], Pogba, to formalise the Serbian[’s arrival],” Materazzi told French outlet RMC Sport, when asked if there is a risk Milinkovic-Savic will go.
“Lazio is the team that worked better with the human material that was available: hats off to [Igli] Tare and [Simone] Inzaghi.”
However, a likely bid to be accepted will be around £96m, according to reports in Italy.
