Chelsea and Liverpool and perhaps Manchester United are on red alert with report suggesting Real Madrid are prepared to let Marco Asensio leave the club this January.
Los Blancos signed the 22-year-old Spaniard from Mallorca in 2014, but he has failed to hold down a regular starting position in the squad.
He has only made 64 appearances for Madrid since his move, spending time on loan at Mallorca and Espanyol.
According to Marca (via the Metro), the reigning Champions League winners have slapped a £100m price tag on the player.
Despite being contracted with Madrid until 2023, the club would allow Asensio to leave in January if their asking price is met.
Asensio is plainly an extremely talented player, and at just 22 needs to be guided rather than sold, unless there is some problem with his personality.
He does not give that impression, and while £100m is a huge sum even in the Premier League, he could be a useful addition to any team at the top of the league, and United.
