Manchester United make preliminary inquiry as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants German defender

According to German source Sport1, Manchester United are reportedly eyeing a move for German international Niklas Sule.

The Red Devils believe the German defender has all the right qualities to succeed in the Premier League. The report further suggests that United have already made a preliminary inquiry about the German defender.

Bayern were able to beat Chelsea to sign Sule from Hoffenheim in 2017. The German giant was not always a first choice center-back in his debut season, but he has become a key member of the starting lineup under Niko Kovac.

Sule has delivered some impressive performances in the past two seasons despite the overall defensive frailty of the club. It would be a huge surprise if Bayern even consider selling him this summer — even if Manchester United make a massive bid for him.

In the current campaign, so far, he has featured in 27 league games for the German champions, scored 2 goals and provided 1 assist as well.
