Chris Wood was forced off with a knee injury in the 3-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur and is a major doubt for the trip to Manchester United.

He was replaced by Ashley Barnes on Saturday, while Sam Vokes is the other option available to Sean Dyche in attack.

Jonathan Walters returned to the bench against Spurs and may be handed some minutes at Old Trafford.

There are few changes are expected elsewhere, with Jeff Hendrick set to continue in a central support role in a 4-4-1-1 formation.

Ashley Westwood provides the main alternative in the middle of the park with Jon Walters available to take up a role on the flank.

Stephen Ward (knee) is again set to miss out with a knee problem, while James Tarkowski remains suspended, so the back four could stay unchanged.

Dyche could, however, consider a recall to Matt Lowton at right-back in place of Phil Bardsley. Tom Heaton remains on the sidelines while Dean Marney is still lacking match fitness.

Robbie Brady is a long-term absentee for the Clarets.
