Manchester United are reportedly closing in on a move for West Ham star Marko Arnautovic, according to bookies.
Despite several media outlets linking him with a move to Old Trafford, the 29-year-old has insisted that he is not aware of any deal which will take out of West Ham.
Arnautovic joined West Ham last summer in a £25million move from Stoke and was named Hammer of the Year after scoring 11 goals.
The Austria forward has four years left on his deal and a move to United would see him link up again with Mourinho, who was his manager at Inter Milan for one season.
A BetStars spokesperson said: “Marko Arnautovic is priced at just 5/4, down from 2/1, with BetStars to join Manchester United after the 29-year-old refused to rule out a move to Old Trafford in an interview with Sky Austria.
“Speculation of the move was fuelled when Jose Mourinho flew to Austria to watch the West Ham forward play in a World Cup warm-up friendly against Russia.
“And the odds suggest the Austrian could be playing his football in Manchester next season.
“Everton are valued at 12/1 as new boss Marco Silva looks to add to his squad ahead of next season, whilst Tottenham are in at 14/1, with newly-promoted Wolves ranked as major outsiders at 20/1.”
West Ham are now more likely to resist any deal for Arnautovic after Manuel Lanzini ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament while training with Argentina.
