Laurent Koscienly traveled to France to seal a move with his country club Bordeaux, this is according to reports.
Koscienly has laid bare his desire to move back to France this summer and in a bid to force a move, he snubbed the Gunners pre-season tour in America.
He has entered the final year of his contract with Arsenal and has asked for his contract to be terminated. Alas, Arsenal are refusing to terminate his deal as they are looking to recoup funds from his sale.
The 33-year-old centre-back has been in talks with Bordeaux over a possible move and now, according to French sports daily L’Equipe as cited by insidefutbol, an agreement is in place between Arsenal and the French club for his move.
The report further claim the legendary defender is already in Bordeaux and has been scheduled to have the routine medical check today ahead of the officially sealing the deal.
The report did not state the length of his deal with the new club, neither did they state his transfer fee but it is clear that Bordeaux have stolen a march Lyon to sign him.
Koscielny, who has been with Arsenal since 9-years ago was disappointed at Arsenal over his contract and he informed them he wanted one year more than his existing deal, but he was denied the same.
He was scheduled for a peace meeting with Emery but he snubbed the call and despite the criticism he has suffered, he remains unfazed.
He has featured in over 300 games for Arsenal since his move in 2010 and has won up to three FA Cups as well.
