After being left out of the starting XI against Huddersfield Town, Phil Jones, Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial could all return for the trip to Newcastle United.

Jones is an option to come in for Marcos Rojo in central defence, while Pogba is expected to replace Scott McTominay in central midfield.

Ander Herrera provides another option in the middle of the park if Jose Mourinho wants to switch from a 4-2-3-1 formation to a 4-3-3.

Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku appear assured starters in attack, with Sanchez most likely lining up on the left.

Martial may start on the right, with Jesse Lingard continuing in the No 10 role, though Juan Mata and Marcus Rashford are viable starters in the attacking midfield positions.

Luke Shaw was preferred to Ashley Young at left-back last weekend, but Young is set to come under consideration for a recall.

Daley Blind is unlikely to feature, while Eric Bailly, Marouane Fellaini and Zlatan Ibrahimovic remain sidelined.
