Joel Lopez, Sam Greenwood and Karl Hein have all agreed to sign as first-year scholars at the north London club.

Greenwood ws signed from Sunderland earlier in the summer after an impressive spell which saw the 16-year-old score six goals for Sunderland’s Under 18s last season and provided six assists.

Lopez was signed in from Barcelona after the left-back decided to reject a professional contract with the La Masia academy in favour of a move to the Emirate Stadium.

He follows the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Hector Bellerin in deciding to leave the Camp Nou and move to Arsenal.

Hein, a 16-year-old goalkeeper, moved to Arsenal from FC Nomme United and plays for the Estonian national team at under-17 level.

A statement from the Gunners said: “We would like to congratulate Joel, Sam and Karl on their contracts.”
