Manchester United have made a €60m (£51.9million) offer to Bayern Munich over a potential summer deal for Niklas Sule, according to Sport1.
The German centre back has enjoyed a fine season in Bavaria in which he has established himself as first choice under Niko Kovac, ahead of seasoned compatriot Jerome Boateng. Sule even scored the winner in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Werder Bremen.
According to sport1, Sule is high on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s which list after a number of impressive displays for the Bundesliga side.
United will look to overhaul their side this summer after a disappointing campaign.
Meanwhile, United have been linked with a move for Kalidou, but the Senegal international is likely to command a huge fee and, at 27, Sule could represent a better value long-term investment.
However, given his rise to prominence as a key figure for Bayern this term, Sule is unlikely to come cheap, and United may have to dig deep into their vast finances this summer to land their top targets.
