Arsenal have offered a new and improved bid for Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha. With the improved bid affording the Eagles the chance to have a Gunner elite player on loan alongside £65 million, according to reports.
The Gunners have previously had an initial bid of £40 million turned down for the player with Crystal Palace said to value him at £90 million.
Arsenal remained undeterred as they have even gone as far as offering the likes of Carl Jenkinson, Mohamed Elneny and Calum Chambers just to get Zaha to relocate to the Emirates Stadium. And now Nelson has been thrown into the mix.
According to the Independent . Arsenal’s new bid is worth around £55m up front, as well as £10m further in add-ons.
However, reports also suggested this new bid has been rebuffed by palace as it is nowhere near enough for a player of Zaha’s standing.
Palace is also seeking for a permanent move for any player sent the other way.
Arsenal are willing to let Jenkinson move to the rival club permanently and Palace have their sight set on the £5m-rated full-back. Zaha is edging towards the exit doors as the forward informed Palace of his desire to leave at the end of last season and the Emirates Stadium is well on his way
