Arsenal and Tottenham are currently locking horns for a couple of players but recent report can confirm that the Gunners have stolen a march on their north London rivals.
Sky Sports can confirm that the Gunners have verbally agreed a deal with French side Saint-Etienne which would see William Saliba make a permanent move to the Emirates stadium.
The details of the deal are not stated. However, it is reported that Saliba will be loaned back to the Ligue 1 club upon signing a deal with Arsenal.
It is claimed that Arsenal have agreed to pay €25m plus €4m bonuses.
It was previously reported that Arsenal had agreed personal terms with the Saliba and that the player is expected to sign a five-year deal with the north London club.
This is good news for the Arsenal fans who were worried to see Saliba reacting to an Instagram post on Nike’s official page showing Tottenham kit launch earlier this week.
The 18-year-old is now popular with the Arsenal fans as it is given that he turned down Tottenham’s advances in favour of playing for Unai Emery’s team.
Saliba is expected to be the long-term replacement for contract rebel Laurent Koscielny who wants out of Arsenal.
Arsenal are also reported to be chasing the signature of Celtic defender Kieran Tierney and are said to be in advanced talks with Real Madrid over a loan move for Dani Ceballos.
