Chelsea loanee Michy Batshuayi has been discussing his struggles in west London and has revealed his frustrations at Antonio Conte not rewarding his efforts.
The Belgian is proving his worth at Borussia Dortmund after his deadline day move in January.
Batshuayi has hit five goals in his first three appearances for the Bundesliga outfit, becoming the first player in the club’s history to do so.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are currently struggling for goals with Alvaro Morata recovering from a back problem.
And Batshuayi clearly feels he should have been given a chance at the Premier League champions.
“It wasn’t always easy at Chelsea,” he told Sporza.
“I’m now playing with a lot of confidence.
“Sitting on the bench, score a goal and then back to the bench is quite difficult to deal with for an attacker.”
Olivier Giroud was signed as Batshuayi’s replacement last month.
And the forward is unsure whether he will feature for Chelsea when his loan deal expires.
“I don’t know if Conte was watching my game,” he continued.
“They are focusing on the Premier League and have an important Champions League tie next week. “I hope it turns out well for them.”
Batshuayi’s loan deal does not include a clause which allows Dortmund to purchase him permanently at the end of the season.
