According to a report from the Mirror, Unai Emery has handed fans a massive blow as Jack Wilshere after revealing the England midfielder will not be part of his plans this summer.
Arsenal are said to have offered Wilshere £110,000-a-week to stay plus a £65,000 bonus if he plays and the team wins, taking him potentially up to £175,000-a-week.
Earlier this week, Wilshere appeared to hint he was heading towards an exit when he posted on Instagram: “There comes a time when you have to choose between turning the page and closing the book.”
And the Mirror says Emery held talks with Wilshere about his future and informed him that he will not be a “key figure” in his plans.
Wilshere, who has made 125 Premier League appearances for his boyhood club since making his debut approaching a decade ago, is said to considering a move to the likes of Wolves, West Ham and Everton are among the clubs that have offered deals but there are also good offers from abroad with Sampdoria, AC Milan and Juventus all keen.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are also hopeful that Aaron Ramsey will agree to sign a new contract having offered the Wales international a deal in the region of £200,000-a-week.
