Manchester United is pursuing 100 points in Premier League that would be the first English team to reach that milestone. In the meantime, Runners up position got much competition after Manchester City lost against Everton. Roberto Mancini is not happy about recent matches.
City did not expect this result in crucial time of season and they are still holding second place with only four points lead with Chelsea. It is not a comfortable place to stay relax because Chelsea and Tottenham are battling to finish second.
Chelsea will not rest until finish with decent position in standings. Rafael Benitez has tried all his tactics to bring the Blues up and earn fans support. The fact remains same as before he enters Stamford Bridge, but some areas have developed in Chelsea.
Tottenham has become sudden stars amidst top teams and they played well and put pressure on opponents. Andre Villas Boas hopes they can move forward and secure their next Champions League journey.
Roberto Mancini has warned City and they have to concentrate more to capture runners. He disappointed with Everton Clash and Chelsea’s victory over West Ham.
“I don’t think that can happen but we need to pay attention.
“We want it as well. It is important for the players to finish second because if we do that and win the FA Cup it could still be a good season.
“The title race is over but that changes nothing as we should do our best from now until the end of the season.”
“I was really unhappy after Everton and I didn’t want to say bad things.
He blamed referee’s decisions and poor way of shots, which is failed to find net.
“It’s now in the past but I was disappointed with our performance and with the referee’s performance — that is why I didn’t want to talk. I was upset.
“We had 22 shots on goal and didn’t score. It is the same problem — we are not scoring enough goals to win games.
“It is a problem we have had all year and we didn’t play well.”
“We should be sad we didn’t win the title but now it is important we win the FA Cup.
“United have the chance to win a Double but the Cup is also important for us and for Chelsea.”
