Gary Neville thinks Manchester United players will be determined to beat Tottenham on Monday after a shocking 3-2 defeat to Brighton last weekend.

He told Sky Sports: “I know that United will be absolutely determined to put right what happened last Sunday, it was a terrible terrible performance.

“Brighton did really well and United were below their best.

“They need this game, they need a big opponent. Tottenham have been friendly opponents.

“Everybody will be watching this match hoping to see United lose and put another nail put in the coffin.”

Paul Merson has criticised Paul Pogba for admitting his attitude ‘was not right’ during United’s 3-2 loss to Brighton last week.

He told Sky Sports: “I played for George Graham.

“In my wildest dreams, I could not get up in front of the camera and go ‘you know what, attitude wasn’t right today’.

“I thought it was disrespectful, I really did. You don’t say that.

“Your manager might turn round to you and go ‘your attitude wasn’t right today’ and you’ll go ‘I’m not having that’ or whatever.

“You don’t just come out and say that.”

United have three points in two games and will be looking to get back to winning ways when they face Spurs on Monday evening.

United owners the Glazer family are already planning for a future without Mourinho and the Mirror claims they have identified his replacement in former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane.
