Arsenal are believed to be considering the sale of versatile forward Theo Walcott.

The English international has failed to impress of late and with major interests from as much as four Premier League clubs, Wenger is reported to be open to the idea of letting him leave.

Despite the departure of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the summer window, the 28-year-old forward who has been at Arsenal for over a decade is currently no closer to the first team at the Emirates.

Walcott though put in a good performance last week by netting a brace in the 4-2 victory over BATE Borisov in the Europa League.

He was however back on the substitutes bench for the victory over Brighton and Hove Albion and he was then largely underwhelming when he replaced Alexander Lacazette with 20mins left to play.

Reports emanating from England understand that Walcott who has struggled to nail down a starting spot at the Emirates this term is running out of time to prove himself as Wenger is ready to make him available for a transfer if there is no upturn in form.

According to The Gambling Times via Daily Star, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger could be ready to cut him loose in the New Year if he doesn’t begin to impress.

The report further states that West Ham, Everton and Crystal Palace are keen on the player while Southampton could also swoop if the player becomes available.

It is also understood that the Gunners star who is not in Gareth Southgate’s latest Three Lions squad is keen to play on a regular basis ahead of next summer’s World Cup as he currently faces a battle against time to win back a place in the England manager’s plans for next year.
