Reports suggest Manchester United have made Kalidou Koulibaly their No 1 target this summer.

The Napoli centre-back is one of the hottest properties in Europe with a number of teams keen on his services, United included, according to the Mirror.

The Senegal international has impressed at Napoli again this season and would add much-needed steel to a United defence that conceded 54 goals in the top flight this season.

It could take a record fee to bring Koulibaly to Manchester United, beating the £75m Liverpool paid for Virgil van Dijk.

Boss Ancelotti branded Koulibaly the best centre back in the world this weekend. He said: “The best centre back in the world? I would say so.

“And he can still improve. He is worth €150m and he is not available for transfer. Koulibaly’s contract expires in 2023, in 2021 there’s a €150m clause but Napoli do not need to sell, the president [Aurelio De Laurentiis] does not want to sell and the question doesn’t come up.”

The report also claim Solskjaer wants a centre-back, right full-back as well as a midfielder and striker.

The Norwegian will also trim his squad as he looks to freshen up things and challenge for trophies once again.

United have also been linked with a move for England and Lesictese City defender Harry Maguire.
