Andreas Pereira has reportedly accepted that he will have to leave Manchester United in order to realise his dream of turning out for Brazil at the 2022 World Cup.
The Brazilian midfielder, 22, has started just twice for Jose Mourinho so far this season.
Pereira earned his first Brazil cap in September, and according to Yahoo, the midfielder’s desire to represent the South American nation at the 2022 World Cup could see him leave Old Trafford in search of first-team football.
Pereira, who will see his contract with United expire at the end of the current season, has been left out of Mourinho’s squad for the team’s last three Premier League matches.
He spent last season on loan at Ligue 1 side Valencia and was impressive in Spain.
With one goal in 29 appearances, he helped Gary Neville’s old side finish fourth, just three points behind Real Madrid.
It was understood Valencia wanted him permanently back in the summer but refused they refused to meet United valuation fee of £10million.
And perhaps United boss Mourinho’s support from earlier on in this campaign will persuade him to stay.
