According to report via the Evening Standard, Arsenal have been handed a massive boost ahead of mid-week clash against Brentford in the Carabao Cup.

Sokratis Papastathopoulos was taken off during Arsenal’s win over Everton, plenty of fans were worried that he would miss a significant period of time.

The 30-year-old will sit out of Wednesday’s EFL Cup clash against Brentford but he is expected to play when Arsenal face the Gunners on Saturday afternoon.

“Right ankle from FC Vorskla match last Thursday. Continuing to be assessed ahead of Wednesday’s match with Brentford.”

“Right dead leg during Everton match on Sunday. Currently being assessed ahead of Wednesday’s match with Brentford.”

“Now back in full training following left knee injury.”

Carl Jenkinson
“Now back in full training following sprain to right ankle.”
