Maurizio Sarri made ten changes for the match against PAOK on Thursday, with only Kepa Arrizabalaga keeping his place from the side that fell to a 3-1 defeat at Spurs last Saturday.

With Chelsea in action at midday on Sunday, it would be easy to assume that the ten outfielders either relegated to the bench or rested completely for that Europa League tie will be restored to the line-up for the visit of the Cottagers in Gameweek 14.

A fitness doubt still hangs over Eden Hazard (ankle), however, who wasn’t involved against the Greek outfit on Thursday night.

Sarri said on Wednesday that he “thinks” the Belgian will recover in time for Sunday, though did add that he “cannot” play all ten of Chelsea’s matches in December/early January.

Sarri said that he “didn’t think” Olivier Giroud’s two goals against PAOK will affect his thinking regarding who leads the line against Claudio Ranieri’s troops, so Alvaro Morata would seem set to start up front.

The Chelsea boss has been critical of N’Golo Kante this week after the Frenchman’s display against Spurs, though that Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Ross Barkley and Cesc Fabregas all played 90 minutes on Thursday evening would suggest Kante may return to the starting XI this weekend.

Aside from that, changes look likely to be minimal: Kepa, Jorginho and Chelsea’s back four would seem near-certain to feature, having started every league match this season.

Sarri said in his post-match presser on Thursday that “the problem was the team, not one or two players” in the loss to Spurs, further hinting that – injuries permitting – the starting XI will remain unchanged for the west London derby. Victor Moses is a doubt with a back problem, meanwhile.
