Alexis Sanchez and Jesse Lingard, both of whom made the bench against Everton last weekend, were declared “ready” by Jose Mourinho ahead of the trip to Bournemouth on Saturday.
With Anthony Martial in such good form, Sanchez’s chances of starting perhaps hinge on who Mourinho decides to lead the line for United on the south coast.
Marcus Rashford was the spearhead of the attack in the win over the Toffees last Sunday, while media reports suggest that Romelu Lukaku hasn’t travelled to Bournemouth on Friday.
Juan Mata will perhaps face competition from Rashford (if he doesn’t start centrally) and Lingard on the right flank, meanwhile.
Marouane Fellaini remains out so the United boss may decide to stick with a midfield three of Fred, Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba, though Scott McTominay – if fit – and Ander Herrera are alternatives in the engine room.
With Antonio Valencia (knee) and Diogo Dalot unavailable, Luke Shaw and Ashley Young look set to continue at full-back.
