Chelsea forward Alvaro Morata could make a stunning return to La Liga to join Spanish champions Barcelona, according to reports.

The £60million signing from Real Madrid looks set to leave Stamford Bridge after his poor strings of matches, just after one season.

And according to Spanish outlet Sport, Barcelona are looking to make reinforcements this January in their attacking line and provide support for their talisman Luiz Suarez.

But Morata’s move back to Spain depends on whether Barca’s midfielder Denis Suarez, will be joining Unai Emery at Arsenal.

The Spanish midfielder is subject to interest from the north London club but the Gunners are not willing to pay La Blaugrana’s asking price of £10million.

But Emery is looking to secure a loan deal for the 25-year-old which does not favour Barcelona or Morata’s move to the Camp Nou if funds are not available.

The La Liga champions will only sign Morata if there are departures in the January window as the league leaders are looking to limit their spending on wages.

According to a UK Sun report citing, the Spaniard has commenced talks with Atletico chiefs over a loan deal, even as Morata get more suitors daily.
