Arsenal are preparing to table a £42m bid for Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos, according to reports.
Ceballos is on the exit train of Real Madrid this summer and he has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal and Tottenham.
The 22-year-old Spanish midfielder, who joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2017 from Real Betis is currently out-of-favour at the club.
Les Merenguez are currently overhauling their squad and Ceballos, who was left as a fringe player last season is unlikely going to get into the first team of the side.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are in the market to sign a replacement for Aaron Ramsey, who left as a free agent and has joined Juventus.
Ceballos tickles the fancy of Unai Emery and the Spanish tactician has sanctioned an Arsenal bid for him.
According to the Daily Star, who cited a report from Eldes Marque, Arsenal will launch a £42m (€48m) to sign the Spaniard and they believe it will be enough to prise him away from his club.
After signing up to five players, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is now looking to recoup funds from the sale of players, and Ceballos is on the exit train of the club.
Arsenal have only about £42m to spend in the transfer window this summer but it appears they are willing to spend most of it to sign the midfielder.
His best bet at playing regularly is away from Real Madrid, and Arsenal could provide him that chance.
Arsenal have signed on Gabriel Martinelli and have an agreement to sign William Saliba. Should the Ceballos deal go through, he’d become our third summer signing.
