Three Man Utd Players Confirmed Out Ahead of Arsenal Clash

Manchester United will face Arsenal next weekend without at least three players while the Gunners will be missing at least four, if not five.

Arsenal may well have been robbed by VAR on Sunday evening when they lost to Leicester but there is no denying they were pretty woeful in the second half. As such, a much improved performance will be required if Mikel Arteta fancies getting anything at Old Trafford this weekend.

Going into the game Arsenal sit in 10th place on nine points while United languish in 15th on seven. If ever there was a mid-table six-pointer, this is it.

Anthony Martial will serve out the last game of his domestic suspension so won’t be available. Eric Bailly is also ruled out with a muscular injury that will keep him out for at least a month.

“Eric has a muscle injury, we think maybe three or four weeks, maybe after the international break he’ll be back,” Solskjaer said.

Jesse Lingard will also be absent with an ‘unspecified problem’.

Arsenal meanwhile will be without Gabriel Martinelli (knee), Pablo Mari (ankle), Rob Holding (hamstring), Calum Chambers (knee) and, most likely, David Luiz who picked up a muscular injury against Leicester.

Both sides also have to navigate European ties this week which could well add to their injured list.
