Arsenal are not relenting in their effort to sign Daniele Rugani and have launched a two-year loan offer the Juventus defender, according to reports.
The Gunners have been in pursuit of the Italian star for a while now and could now edge closer to sealing a move in a bid to strengthen their defense, as per Gazzetta dello Sport.
Arsenal made a move in 2015 and in 2018 and now Raul Sanllehi could come through with a major swoop once again.
Rugani has fallen down the pecking order at Turin with the likes of Giorgio Chielini and Leonardo Bonucci displacing him.
Now, with the arrival of Matthijs De Ligt, action time could even be more scarce for Rugani and he could seek to find pastures anew this summer.
The Serie A champions are unlikely to let him go on a permanent deal due to both Bonucci and Chiellini advancing in age.
In 2015, a source close to Rugani confided in Sport Witness: “Of course, if Arsenal or other important English clubs want to buy him with the right offer, the player will be more than happy to move.
“He has the skill, physique and perfect attitude for the Premier League and will be very happy to play in the United Kingdom for top English teams.”
And just last year, Rugani’s agent confirmed: “Daniele is doing well, he’s happy.
“Arsenal? They didn’t make an offer, but they did show their interest. We respect Juventus.”
Arsenal are also reported to be interested in another Juventus star, Sami Khedira, with the German spotted watching Arsenal in action just this week.
