Baba Rahman failed to leave Chelsea before the Turkish transfer window closed this week, according to reports in Turkey.

The Ghanian fullback is currently on his way back to fitness after being sidelined for several months with an Anterior Cruciate Liagment injury he sustained while playing for his national team in January.

Chelsea had decided against sending him out on loan in the just concluded summer transfer window, so as to keep an eye on his recovery.

However, Rahman is progressing faster than anticipated and has reportedly joined up with the club’s first team training.

He could now get a chance to play top level football as Galatasaray consider signing him.

According to Fanatik via Team Talk, Chelsea are set to hold talks with Gala over the transfer of the defender.

The report claims Chelsea are now more than happy to let Rahman leave on loan and will try to reach an agreement with Gala before the Turkish Super Ligue transfer window closes on Friday.

Chelsea left Rahman out of its Champions League and Premier League squad, meaning he wouldn’t get game time at Stamford Bridge between now and January.

Due to the severity of his injury, there is need for Rahman to play regularly when he returns to full fitness, making a loan spell an attractive option for him.
