Unai Emery has told the Arsenal board to complete the transfer of Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney.
According to the Metro, Emery has made the Scottish defender one of his priority signings this summer and is urging the club to see that Tierney joins the club for the right fee.
Celtic are reported to be open to selling the versatile defender and would let him leave if an interested club meets their valuation of the player.
Tierney is valued at £22m by the Scottish giants but they could be coerced to accepting a deal a little less (£20m) than the aforementioned amount.
Arsenal have two quality players in the left back position. However, the decision the reason for Emery’s interest in the 22-year-old is not farfetched.
Though predominantly a left-back, Tierney can play centrally as a defender and also operate from the left side of the midfield. His performances have earned interests from top clubs in Europe as Lyon are also reported to be keen on his signature.
Emery has just £45m at his disposal and is hoping to boost his war chest from the sale of Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Mesut Ozil who are valued at £27m and £30m respectively.
Arsenal are also eyeing the services of William Saliba who is reported to have agreed personal terms with the club.
