Arsenal have officially announced the signing of Bernd Leno from Bayern Leverkusen for €22m (£19.2m/$25m).

The 26-year-old Germany international is tipped to become Unai Emery number one goalkeeper with Arsenal ready to listen to offers for David Ospina and Petr Cech this summer but it is unclear who will make way for him.

Bayer Leverkusen has since signed Lukas Hradecky on a free transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt as a replacement for the German goal stopper.

The Gunners will also sign defensive midfielder Lucas Torreira from Sampdoria once the World Cup comes to an end.

Arsenal are also closing in on the signing of Uruguay midfielder Lucas Torreira of Sampdoria for £25m and Greece defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos from Borussia Dortmund for around £16m as Unai Emery continues his rebuilding job.

The Switzerland full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner joined on a free transfer from Juventus this month.
