Arsenal are believed to be interested in signing Everton winger Ademola Lookman.

The youngster who is currently one of the most exciting prospects in European football continues to attract interest as he struggles for game time at Gudisson park.

With star forward Alexis Sanchez set to depart the Emirates in one of the next two windows coupled with the difficulty in trying to finalize a deal for Thomas Lemar last summer, Wenger is understood to be monitoring a few top talents around Europe.

Recent reports emanating from England have now revealed that Wenger is prepared to swoop for the vastly talented wideman next year having been very impressed by scout reports.

It is the Sun via Daily Cannon who have claimed that the Gunners are interested in Lookman as they continue their search for a suitable replacement for Alexis.

Despite only joining Everton from Charlton in January, it should not be too difficult for Arsene Wenger to convince the England under 21 international about a return to London.

Whilst there is no denying the talent the youngster possesses , the 19-year-old is definitely no suitable replacement for the World Class Sanchez.

There is argument to be that the player could very well reach Sanchez’s level when he reaches his peak, it must also be remembered that he may also not turn out to be World Class.

Lookman as of now is all potential and little ability which makes him a poor choice to come in and immediately replace the departing Sanchez.

To adequately replace the Chilean, Wenger may need to set the bar a lot higher than a teenager who has made just two starts for Koeman’s side this term and has only appeared eight times in total since making his January move to Merseyside.
