Arsenal are set for a shock January move for Chelsea defender David Luiz according to reports.
The Brazilian Center back has fallen down the pecking order since getting into a fallout with manager Antonio Conte, which has seen him sit out a number of games.
He now looks set to leave the club in order to get playing time ahead of the World Cup next year, and Arsene Wenger’s side has declared interest in him.
Arsenal have been plagued with the same old defensive problems, notably in the 3-1 defeat to Man Utd, and a steady, experienced and tough tackling presence is obviously needed.
Manager Arsene Wenger is said to admire David Luiz experience in the league and Champions league, as well as his ability to play in defense and midfield.
A move for David Luiz will come as a shock, much in the same way as the move for Petr Cech in 2014, and a bid in the region of £30 million is being readied by the North London side.
Arsenal will have to fend off competition from Barcelona and Juventus for his signature.
