Arsene Wenger is interested in signing Borussia Dortmund winger Marco Reus, but could face competition from Manchester United for the German, according to reports.
Sanchez and Ozil are into the final year of their contracts and Arsenal may well need attacking reinforcements in the summer.
Although, Arsenal are trying to convince the duo to stay, it is currently looking unlikely that they will both commit their future to the club.
According to the Daily Star, Wenger has lined up Reus as one player he would love to bring in if he needs to sign a new winger.
Reus has proven he is among Europe’s elite footballers with his performances for BVB and will definitely be a good option to strengthen our attack if we lose any of Sanchez or Ozil.
However, It will be interesting to see if Wenger will be prepared to do whatever it takes to sign Reus. The German has struggled with injuries in recent years and considering what we’ve had to face with Wilshere, it might not be a good idea to sign the German.
Injury aside, Reus will be a dream signing for me but I won’t like to get my hopes too high, knowing Wenger’s history in the transfer market, we may end up not signing him.
