Unai Emery has made Crystal Palace ace Wilfried Zaha his top target ahead of the summer transfer window, according to reports.
Zaha is considered one of the best players in the Premier League at a club outside of the top-six and has impressed again this season for the Eagles.
The Ivory Coast international returned to Selhurst Park in 2015 following a poor spell at Manchester United and is once again being linked with England’s elite clubs.
Tottenham and Chelsea have expressed interest in signing Zaha this season but The Sun say Emery is keen to bring the 26-year-old to north London.
The Spaniard wants to bring at least two defenders to the Emirates, but is also hopeful of adding some more attacking talent, with Zaha his top target.
Palace, who guaranteed their Premier League safety after beating Arsenal last month, are reluctant to lose Zaha but may be tempted to cash in if the right offer is presented.
Eagles boss Roy Hodgson, meanwhile, has said that he expects Zaha to be a Palace player for ‘many years to come’.
‘He’s on a four-year contract, he’s one of our highest-paid players and he’s absolutely adored by the fans and everyone in south-east London,’ Hodgson said.
‘As far as I’m concerned, I’m looking forward to working with him not only in the near future, but I’m looking forward to seeing him in the Crystal Palace shirt for many years to come.’
