Chelsea won’t sell Willian to Manchester United in the summer.

That is the verdict of ESPN pundit Steve Nicol.

Manchester United are expecting to be busy when the transfer window reopens in July, with Jose Mourinho hoping to overhaul his squad.

Mourinho has supposedly drawn up a shortlist of six midfield targets which includes Willian and Real Madrid star Toni Kroos.

Willian, who was out of favour under Conte earlier in the season, has exploded into life and been one of the Blues’ best players over the past few weeks.

And Nicol thinks that the Brazilian could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge.

However, after seeing Nemanja Matic head to Manchester last summer, Conte won’t want to see his side have their “fingers burned” again.

“He could possibly be on his way,” Nicol told ESPN.

“I’m not sure to Man United. I don’t see Chelsea wanting to give United another great player.

“With Matic, I think that’ll have burned their fingers.

“If he does leave, I don’t see it being to United.”
