Unai Emery has revealed how best Dani Ceballos can be used ahead of his loan move to Arsenal, per reports.
AS reports this morning that Ceballos all is in place for the Spanish midfielder to join Arsenal and he has been scheduled for a medical with the North London club later today, reports Sportwitness.
After so much dilly dallying, Arsenal have reportedly stole a march on Tottenham to sign Ceballos.
The Gunners had wanted an option ‘to buy’ to be included in the deal but Real Madrid decided against it as they view him to have a big future.
Arsenal have been in the market to sign a player in the stead of Aaron Ramsey but Emery views Ceballos as an upgrade for the out-gone Welsh play maker.
Speaking ahead of his arrival to the Emirates, Emery, who knows Ceballos since his day at Real Betis revealed the player can be deployed in two positions.
“Ceballos is a very good player. I know him from [Real] Betis at the beginning and Real Madrid,” he said of Ceballos, who started out at Betis before moving to Madrid in 2017.
“He played very well in the Under-21s [for Spain], his national team won the [2019 European Championship] competition. He can play as a No. 8 or a No. 10.”
His arrival will definitely spark a competition in the midfield of the Gunners between the likes of Mesut Ozil, Alex Iwobi and him, which will ultimate be good for the side.
The Gunners fanbase will certainly be upbeat about the signing of Ceballos but the club is also in dire need of other reinforcements.
A deal for William Saliba has been agreed as well, with a confirmation expected to be made before the close of this week.
